Do you sell Tupperware, Usbornne, Arbonne or Avon or any other product? Maybe make jams or pickles? Would you like to consider participating in a Group Show one evening this November? It would be like a home sales party only with multiple companies and products. Guests would come for an informative evening out. If you are interested, please contact Kate at emmasworld@uniserve.com or call 604 885 2019
The Halfmoon Bay childcare centre society is hosting a fundraiser Halloween Dance on October 25th, 2008. It will be at Welcome Beach Hall from 7:00-11:00. There will be live music to dance to, prizes for Original Costume, Best Group Costume and Spot Dances, as well as beer, wine and snacks. We are looking for people to help with all aspects of the organizing of this event, including ticket sellers, bartending, decorating, or if you’d like to donate a prize. Please call Jacquie at 604 885-3103 or, e-mail jacquiec@dccnet.com. Thank-you for supporting our great Halfmoon Bay Childcare Centre.
Do you have a pile of clutter at home? You’ve been meaning to sell it at a garage sale, but can’t get around to organizing one. Why not set up a table at our Community Garage Sale? For $15 you get a table (and the floor space around it) to sell your treasures. Table rental profits will go to the HMB Child Care Society. If you don’t have a lot of items, why not split a table with friends or family? There will be lots of great items for sale including housewares, kids stuff, free boxes, snacks and more. And, for an additional fee, whatever you don’t sell and don’t want to take home, will be taken to the dump for you.
If you are interested, please contact Kate at emmasworld@uniserve.com or call 604 885 2019. Date and location to be determined. (Cooper’s Green Hall, Oct 25th, 10-1pm maybe?)
… is a big fundraiser for our kids! Please save your Clayton’s and Wilson Creek IGA receipts, and bring them to the pre-school/daycare. They are returned to the store, where they are totaled and 10% is donated back to the Halfmoon Bay Child Care Society. If we pool together, this will be a big source of money for the society. Thanks for your support.
Hi everyone. The next meeting of the HMB Childcare Society will be, Wednesday, October 15th at 6:30 pm in the POD. If you have children in any of the HMB Childcare Society’s programs, such as pre-school, day-care, kinder-care, or out-of-school care you are automatically a member of the society. You should come to one of our meetings, and learn more about what that means. All projects, from fund-raising to maintenance could use your help. No huge commitment necessary!

Jacquie and the HMB Childcare Society are hosting the Silent Auction portion of the HMB Country Fair. They are fundraising towards the purchase of a replacement van. If you or your business would like to donate items for auction, it would be a mutually beneficial project: your business will be advertised, the community would have a chance to bid and, hopefully, win their desired item, and the kids will eventually end up with a new van. Perhaps you are an individual who could donate a few hours gardening, or some gently used toys in a ‘Gift Basket’ that the kids could bid on, or a certificate for a barrel of fruit when your trees produce. Be creative and donate in the spirit of community. Please contact Jacquie at 604 885 3103 or email noahpatrick@dccnet.com (before July 19th) THANKS!!!!
